I am an encourager
I’m here to encourage you, support you, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself you’ve been missing.
Everything I teach is something I’m learning, practicing, or working through myself.
I’m not here as someone who has it all figured out. I’m here as someone who’s in the mess too — navigating seasonal depression, old stories, limiting beliefs, negative thought loops, and that feeling of living the same day over and over again. I’ve had seasons where I didn’t even know what I enjoyed anymore or where I’d lost myself along the way.
So when I teach, I’m not teaching at you. I’m teaching with you.
I’m trying to embody the same tools I offer: mindful movement, nervous-system awareness, affirmations, mindset shifts, slowing down, and remembering what matters.
My approach is simple: come as you are, and we’ll figure it out together
Keeping it Real
I took my first yoga class in 2012 and fell in love instantly. It just happened to be a Bikram class — 90 minutes at 107 degrees Fahrenheit and 30% humidity. Even my kneecaps were sweating, and I didn’t know that was possible. I don’t actually love sweating, but I loved it in yoga class. I felt flexible, strong, challenged, and completely hooked.
I practiced hot yoga on and off over the years, and in 2020 I started a twice‑daily meditation practice that I still continue today. In 2021, I had a “year of yes,” and one of the things I said yes to was yoga teacher training. Those 200 hours were some of the hardest I’ve ever done — I wanted to quit more than once. It challenged me in ways I wasn’t expecting, but it was worth it, because I found my passion.
I started teaching at a local gym right away and kept adding classes to my schedule. To make space for it all, I went part‑time at my day job (did I mention I work as an Environmental Engineer?).
In 2023, I completed an additional 300 hours of training, and despite the extra 100 hours, it felt so much easier. In 2025, I combined my love of yoga and travel and led my first international retreat in sunny San Pedro, Belize. Seeing the transformation in the people who came was so beautiful, and every day I feel grateful that I get to do this work.
